Job Description:

We are currently seeking a full time Construction Superintendent. This position is on the jobsite and assumes responsibility for on-site management and success of all phases and technical aspects of a construction project.  This position interacts regularly with customers, Denovo management, project architect, subcontractors, material suppliers, inspectors, etc.  The Construction Superintendent is the key member of the team responsible for the success of a project. This person also serves as the primary problem solver for any issues that arise during the construction process.

We have openings for projects located in Eastern Iowa, North Central Iowa and Western Iowa for 2027.

Required Experience:

• Construction Superintendent will have a minimum of 5+ years field experience managing mid and large-size commercial construction projects ($5M - $50M+) with a successful track record (execution, financial, safety) and satisfied owners.
• Some candidates will have construction related degrees (Construction Management, Construction Engineering) but a degree is not a requirement and Candidates with an acceptable level of experience, or experience and education will be considered.
• Proficiency in using Word, Excel, MS Project, Bluebeam, ProCore, and Outlook is desirable.

• Good organizational and time management skills
• Effective oral and written communication
• Work well in a team environment
• Ability to read and understand project specifications and drawings
• Understand and perform project scheduling and cost control
• Candidates must possess a valid driver’s license.

·       Deep understanding of construction methods and sequences, building codes and safety regulations

·       Strong attention to detail

·       Problem solving and decision making, strong critical thinking ability

Required Travel:

We try to limit travel to day trips and work to keep projects within no more than 1.5 hours of your homebase.
