Job Description:

Make an Impact as a Commercial Furniture Lead Installer
At Pigott, we don’t just install office furniture—we help create spaces where people thrive. As a Lead Installer, you’ll guide a crew on projects for some of Iowa and South Dakota’s most recognized healthcare, education, and business clients. You’ll bring leadership, problem-solving, and craftsmanship to every project, ensuring we deliver on our promise to Create Exceptional Experiences.

This role is perfect for someone with hands-on installation or construction experience who’s ready to step into leadership. If you’ve led crews before—even outside of furniture installation—you’ll find a clear path for growth with us.

What You’ll Do

·        Lead and mentor an installation crew, setting the tone for teamwork and accountability

·        Manage installation of MillerKnoll and other commercial furniture product lines

·        Review drawings/blueprints and ensure installs meet project standards

·        Troubleshoot issues on site and keep projects moving smoothly

·        Communicate daily with the project team, clients, and contractors in a professional, solutions-focused way

·        Train newer installers in Pigott’s standards and help build their skills

·        Take ownership of job readiness, site preparation, and follow-through to client sign-off

What We’re Looking For

·        Experience leading crews in installation, construction, carpentry, or a related field

·        Hands-on skills with power tools, product assembly, and safe material handling

·        Ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, or blueprints

·        Strong communication and leadership—able to direct a team and keep projects on track

·        High school diploma or GED (minimum); 2–3 years of related installation experience preferred

·        Willingness to work in a physical, fast-moving environment (lifting up to 64 lbs, bending, kneeling, etc.)

Why Join Pigott?

·        Growth Opportunities – clear paths toward Installation Manager, Warehouse & Service Manager, or Project Manager

·        Meaningful Work – projects with leading healthcare, education, and business clients across Iowa and South Dakota

·        Culture & Values – at Pigott, our team lives by our core values: Lead the Way, Choose Your Voice, Do the Right Thing, and Create Exceptional Experiences

·        Team Environment – you’ll be part of a supportive crew that takes pride in craftsmanship and teamwork

·        Stability – Pigott is a trusted MillerKnoll dealer with a strong reputation and long-standing client partnerships
